Kemma poses an interesting question. I’ll let her speak in her own words:

I know we all discussed this in some length a while back…How the brits are seemingly portrayed as the baddies in recent Hollywood films, but.. Yesterday I was digging through some old magazines I had (Looking for Jenny Seagrove info, which is futile I’ve noticed) and came across an article written in July of 1993. It’s an article written in Empire magazine about that very topic. Not only was Reg mentioned (along with 15 or so other actors and films) but they included a Hudson Hawk pic as well.

At any rate, for those of you who collect articles etc, (or are simply a pack rat like myself and can’t bear to throw anything away, ) it’s issue number 49, July 1993, pg 24.

The reason they wrote it, btw, was the fact that John Lithgow was the bad guy in Cliffhanger…and he used a British accent.
