Posh Nosh Date With Hound And Napoleon

January26

UK fans can catch Richard in the new Argos ad in which Zak’s newly purchased beach house requires the designer touch of Ar Goose? This, of course, is just to tide you over until Tuesday, February 4th (yes, new date yet again!) when you’ll be able to catch REG in the first of the Posh Nosh shorts. REG emailed me to say:

“Arabella Weir, who wrote and features in Posh Nosh, emailed to say they have changed the date again. It is now scheduled to go out at 9.50 on Tuesday 4th February before Paul Whitehouse’s Happiness series. Arabella and Paul worked together in The Fast Show.”

Actual program details – according to the Radio Times website – are:

Posh Nosh

Channel: BBC2 Midlands
Date: Tuesday 4th February
Time: 9:50pm to 10:00pm
Subtitled

Episode: Fish and Chips

Review: Spoof cookery series featuring a rich couple who spend half their time sniping at each other in the kitchen. Minty and Simon show how to make a real fish supper using a sturgeon, an Aga and an award-winning architect.

Cast List: Arabella Weir, Richard E Grant, Stephen Powell

Meanwhile Australian fans may have seen a collage of new programming the ABC plans to show over the next few months that includes The Hound Of The Baskervilles. The very brief clip showed Richard in outdoor clothing standing above a sinking Sherlock Holmes as he tries not to become part of the mire. Something for the Australian contingent to look forward to.

Speaking of The Hound, SueW informs me that there is apparently a new “mini-site” within the PBS website on The Hound of The Baskervilles. It includes the trailer for the making of, Essays & Interviews, Novel to Film (including a 2:45 trailer scene from the drama with Richard in it), Who’s Who, Story Synopsis and much more. To check it out just click here. For a scene from the film containing Stapleton (Richard’s character) and Dr. Watson at Merripit House, just click here.

The DVD and video (American NTSC version) of the film can now be purchased. The PAL version is coming out sometime in February.

Denise was checking out some websites and came across the following site for Monsieur N. It’s interesting to note that some sites still list Stephen Fry as Hudson Lowe instead of Richard. Anyhow this link shows stills from the film – unfortunately none featuring Richard at this stage.

There is also a book to accompany release of film – written in French of course! This link is a (rather bad) translation relating to it.
