Richard E. Grant has publicly thanked the nurses who looked after his daughter while she was in hospital for ear surgery on Monday (18th March, 2013).

The Jack & Sarah star faced a nervous wait while his 24-year-old daughter Olivia underwent the operation, telling fans in a post on Twitter.com, “My daughter is having ear surgery today.Would give anything to exchange places with her, even though she’s 24. Dad is a Dad is a Dad forever” and “Waiting in hospital feels like time has concertina’d (sic) itself & stretched in every imaginable direction, except the one you want to be going in.”

He returned to the microblogging website on Tuesday (19th March, 2013) to tell fans Olivia came through the surgery and is now recovering at home, and he also thanked the nurses who cared for her, writing, “Zimbabwean nurses, Theresa & Grace, were so compassionate & kind to my daughter in hospital. Am in their debt. So relieved to have her home.”
