Richard E. Grant – The Forgotton Doctor Who

December5

5th December, 2011

The latest edition of “Doctor Who Insider” features an article called “The Forgotton Doctor”, and looks back to late 2003 when Richard E Grant played the Doctor in the animated Doctor Who drama, Scream of the Shalka.

Richard has had the honor of playing The Doctor twice, having played the “Quite Handsome Doctor” in the 1999 spoof “Doctor Who And The Curse Of The Fatal Death”, where he referred to himself as “Cute, sexy and lick the mirror-handsome”.

Also in the magazine is a behind the scenes of this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special and talks to guest stars Bill Bailey, Arabella Weir, Paul Bazely and Alexander Armstrong, as well as the Doctor himself, Matt Smith.

The ninth edition of Doctor Who Insider will be available in North America from 8th December.

REG Reading “Conqueror”

We also have a behind-the-scenes look at REG in the studio recording an audio version of Conn Iggulden’s new book “Conqueror”, which was published on the 27th October.

The book tells the story of Kublai Khan — an extraordinary man who is considered, alongside Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great and Napoleon Bonaparte, as one of the greatest conquerors the world has ever known. He was a scholar who conquered an empire larger than those of Alexander or Caesar, a warrior who would rule a fifth of the world with strength and wisdom and a man who betrayed a brother to protect a nation.

Kublai dreams of an empire stretching from sea to sea, but to see it built he must first learn the art of war and take his nation’s warriors to the ends of the known world. Eventually he must face his own brothers in bloody civil war.
