TV Viewing Updates
Here’s some “what’s on” news from Stargazer:
For all of you American REG fans:
“Flick Picks
By The Phantom Of The MoviesSaturday 6/5/04
2:15 p.m. (SUN) “How to Get Ahead in Advertising” (1989). Richard E. Grant, Rachel Ward. Mad-as-hell Brit adman Grant sees his fortunes change when he grows a second, opinionated head (!). Bruce Robinson’s deft satire yields plenty of fresh yuks from a potentially stale subject.”
And for the Brits, here’s an update on what’s happening with the UKTV Drama repeats of “The Scarlet Pimpernel”. They’re showing the first of the three parts on:
Sunday 6th June – 9.00pm
Monday 7th June – 1:35am
And the second part on:
Sunday 13th June – 9.00pm
Monday 14th June – 1:35am
(It’s assumed that the third part will be shown on May 20/21?)
Info:
“First of three feature-length dramas based on the character created by Baroness Orczy. At the height of the French Revolution in 1793, a mysterious Pimpernel continues to embarrass Robespierre and the head of secret police, Chauvelin, by rescuing aristocrats from under the authorities’ noses. Chauvelin travels to England to uncover the man’s identity, and meets his former lover, a French actress, at a lavish ball. Episode 1.”
“Second of three feature-length dramas based on the character created by Baroness Orczy. The Pimpernel is called upon to track down Helene, the daughter of the Marquis de Rochambeau. However, Chauvelin is also looking for her, and so is Gabrielle Damiens, the head of the local revolutionary regime. Sooner or later, their paths are bound to cross.”
Thanks Stargazer.
