Richard has appeared in over 80 films and television programs, such as Withnail And I, The Scarlet Pinmpernel, Jack & Sarah, L.A. Story, Dracula, The Hound Of The Baskervilles, Gosford Park & The Iron Lady. In 2005 he directed his first major release, Wah-Wah.

REG will be featured in British band, The Chemists, forthcoming music video of their new single “This City”. The single is set for release in early 2010.
It’s been quite awhile since we’ve seen Richard in a music video, having last seen him in Lulu’s “Hurt Me So Bad”!
The music video shoot done by the Mi studio for Distiller Records (The Chemists’ record label) is currently in editing phase. Visit We Are Mi to read a bit more on the shoot and its progress.

Love Hurts Opens 15th Annual Temecula Valley International Film and Musical Festival
Finally, we have some news on the romantic comedy Love Hurts! Love Hurts, written and directed by Barra Grant and starring Richard E. Grant, Carrie Ann Moss, Johnny Pacar, Genna Elfman, Camryn Manheim, Janeane Garafolo and Rita Rudner recently had its world premiere in Strasbourg, France at the end of August. On September 9th, Love Hurts will be the opening film at the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival!
Richard plays Ben Bingham, a newly separated father who learns how to date again with help from his teenage son, Justin (played by Johnny Pacar). Ben quickly becomes the most popular man in town, while son Justin falls in love for the first time and dreams of conquering one girl’s heart.
The Temecula Valley Film Festival in Temecula, Southern California runs from September 9 – 13, 2009. Information including scheduling and ticketing prices available at Temecula Valley Film Festival website

Cosi, a romantic comedy starring Richard E Grant and singing superstar Sarah Brightman, is set to shoot in July at a Scottish country house.
Richard’s character, Adam, is a rich industrialist aspiring to a more cultured world. Adam is a frustrated amateur opera singer who decides to throw an opera at his lavish country retreat. The story follows the troupe of singers he commissions to stage Mozart’s Cosi Von Tutti and Adam’s own motivations to stage Cosi. (Hint, Hint: Adam’s secret love interest).

Richard made a guest appearance on the new ITV comedy Mumbai Calling starring Sansheev Bhaskar. Good Sellers, the third episode of the series, aired on June 13.
Grant’s character, Benedict Harlow, teaches Indian phone operators how to speak better English–but his workshop doesn’t go quite as well as the management had hoped.
Prior to the Good Sellers episode airing, Richard was a guest on GMTV chatting with hosts Emma and Andrew about his starring role.
