Richard has appeared in over 80 films and television programs, such as Withnail And I, The Scarlet Pinmpernel, Jack & Sarah, L.A. Story, Dracula, The Hound Of The Baskervilles, Gosford Park & The Iron Lady. In 2005 he directed his first major release, Wah-Wah.

Spice World, Scents And A Special Task – Her.ie Meets Richard E. Grant.
We have fallen in love. This is not a drill.

If you were staying in last Friday night and turned your attention to the Late Late Show, you may have spotted the utterly charming Richard E Grant joining Gabriel Byrne on the couch and chatting with Ryan Tubridy.
The British star was in town for the launch of his new fragrance Jack Covet Garden.
Earlier that same day, we headed to Brown Thomas to meet the Whitnail and I actor, spending a very pleasurable stint talking about scents and sensibilities. We made sure to acknowledge his stellar work in modern classic Spice World, (tongue firmly in cheek) and then chanced our arm and set him a little challenge.
He gleefully accepted… and a new Her.ie game was born. This might explain his rather odd question for Tubs.

He’s one of the world’s most beloved actors, perhaps best known for his renowned turn as Withnail in the cult-classic Withnail and I. Recently, he has been taking a look at some of the world’s most luxurious, fabulous hotels as part of his television series, Richard E Grant’s Hotel Secrets (Sky Atlantic). And now he can add The Westbury Hotel to his list of hotspots.
In Dublin to launch his perfume, Jack Perfume, Richard stayed in The Westbury Hotel, just around the corner from Brown Thomas. This is where he launched his scent, which he calls the “the realisation of a boyhood dream”.
While he was in town, he was nothing but complimentary about the Dublin hotel.
He was clearly impressed with the Presidential Suite, as shown in this Instagram video…
He also stopped into Balfes, for dinner before heading to shoot the Late Late Show with Gabriel Byrne.
He was also smitten with Brown Thomas, Instagramming this lovely picture taken outside the store.
And it wasn’t just Richard who was impressed with The Westbury. Olivia Grant, assistant at Jack Perfume, also praised the hotel for its “5 star service, charm and thoughtfulness”

Here’s a picture of REG hosting the 2015 International Opera Awards. The event showcased live performances by singers including Aleksandra Kurzak, Ildebrando d’Arcangelo and Justina Gringyte, and was held at the Savoy Theatre on Sunday April 26, at 7pm.
