Robert tells us “The Scarlet Pimpernel” was released as a three disc box set from A&E on the 30th of May. You can order it at a favourable price from http://www.dvdexpress.com (among others, I’m sure.)

Just as well, because the Scarlet Pimpernel, due to start in Sweden, TV4, on the 3rd of August has been cancelled for reasons unknown. The air date has probably been pushed forward to an unknown date. Stay tuned Swedes.

For the rest of us, I’m sure there’ll be three new episodes later this year as REG has finished filming. Something big to look forward to!

Karin is the first to report seeing Richard in megaformat! She went past Selfridge’s in London the other day, to take a peak at the much talked-about decorations…

Apparently it was a really nice photo, set in a Victorian-looking room with fancy furniture. REG was the only one in the picture standing up straight, which made him look incredibly tall. It also meant that part of his charming head was chopped off! Can’t wait to see a photo.

Jen says there’s good news for those of us Down Under. There was a preview for this movie on a video I rented last week or the week before so it should be available to rent/buy in Oz soon!

Dawn thought she saw REG on Will & Grace, in an episode where Will and Grace meet these rock and roll types (she believes REG to be the male of the duo). In an effort to be more exciting and less dull, they almost wear themselves out and lose their less flashy friends. Can anyone corroburate?

Lisa saw a small article in her local paper about the HUGE photo going up over Selfridge’s and that it would include REG (along with some lesser-known mortals like Elton John). The article says the photo …”is being billed as the world’s largest photograph, stetching about 900 feet around the building. The work, which is 60 feet high, was dreamed up by artist Sam Taylor-Wood, who said she wanted to create a modern-day version of an Elgin Marble frieze, using images of cultural icons instead of Greek gods.”…. The photo should stay in place until October. REG a “cultural icon.”… but then we already knew that!

Are there any REG fans in London that could get a photo for the Temple?
