Sue has noticed that there are plans to perform a stage version of Withnail and I in Brighton. It’s due to start around the 23rd of May so locals, be sure to check it out. Apparently it has Bruce Robinson’s blessing. Sounds fascinating. http://www.hanover.productions.btinternet.co.uk

Another Gem From Jenny, Posters And Mad Cows

April4

Jenny has written another installment in the life of Percy the pimpernel. Click here to read it.

Tellu spotted a book called Mad Cows by Kathy Lette, and noticed there was a recommendation from REG printed in the front cover. It said:

“She has a black belt in tongue-fu.
Karate-chopped my funny bones in half
Richard E Grant”

It was a paperback edition published by Picador.

Pat came across a site that had some REG movie posters. She found ones for Withnail & I, Advertising, Jack and Sarah, and the Match. She couldn’t see the last two, Withnail was the cover of the video and Advertising was, well not sure, but check it out. (There were others but REG not on ’em. firedog@nostalgia.com)

U.S. TV Viewing

April2

Attention all U.S. REGiment. Check out the monthly tv listings for REG movies. Quite a few listed for April. Especially interesting is an animated feature called The Miracle Maker on Sunday, 4/23 at 7:00 p.m. — voice of REG as John the Baptist.

Also, A&E is showing SP#2 (Madame Guillotine) in two parts — Mon. 4/10 and Tues. 4/11 at 7 a.m. The last time A&E ran Episode #3 in two parts at 7:00 a.m. it was only shown in the tv listings as “Classroom”.

Also showing Jack and Sarah on American Movie Classics on Sunday, 4/16 at 3:00 p.m. Finally — it’s about time. Check out the web site for other REG movies on Romance, Bravo or Independent channels and some premium channels. http://www.tv-now.com/stars/regrant.html.
